day number i dont remember

Fun day. We all worked today but I haven't had a chance to get all my stories from other crews. Tomorrow will be sad though as we leave the work sites for the last time. Our kids have certainly grown attached to their new little friends. So far joey and Jessie have won honor camper awards for their crew. Will doesn't know it yet but he will get the award in the morning from my crew. Tonight we ate@ the capital city brewery and walked the whole mall and passed the white house. Pray as we leave our young friends for the last time that they will know we love them and that god loves them too. We will not see finished projects this time. Just smiles and tear stained cheeks as we pull away. Blessed are the children for they are God's. May we have run a good race this week and been the presence of Christ in the lives of these children. Goodnight everyone.

  1. Saying farewell is never easy, especially when you don't know for certain the next time you will meet again...You and the wonderful youth from BCBC are showing love and compassion for God's people and they will never forget you guys and you all will never forget them. Sometimes it's not about finishing a project, but the fact that you were willing to start it. I pray each of you have a very blessed day. I love you Zach and Eathan!!!!! (and I don't care if hearing that embarrasses you :D)

  3. Just cannot say enough about how proud I am of our youth and their leaders. These are life-changing moments and experiences that last a lifetime. Sometimes it is not about completing a task, but knowing you have planted seeds that God can continue to water and grow. Thanks, too, for giving Emily an opportunity to see something that no one else in our family has seen, the WW II memorial. It was a moving experience for her, especially in light of her grandfather's situation. Finish your task, stay safe and we look forward to seeing you in a couple of days. Tina

  7. Brandan I miss you. I sit by your door everynight and wait for you. The pool is ready but it is not the same without you here to play with me in it. Dalson said that he is ready for that balloon fight that you promised him and that he doesn't even mind if Emily plays too.
    Love Annie :(
